Dune Grass

Salisbury Beach Citizens for Change is coordinating the distribution of dune grass to any residents who would like to purchase it.

Each bundle is 100 plants. The cost is $60 per bundle. Available April 1st.

Beach grass planting recommendations: Plants should be spaced from 12 to 18 inches apart in staggered rows. They should be place about 8 inches into the ground leaving 8 inches exposed. A "plant" is actually two stems, so in planting, a person must put at least two stems into one hole to do the job correctly. Planting season for bare root beach grass is October 1^st through April 30^th. The temperature and rainfall before or after that date could be too dry or warm to support a bare root plant.
